The Dangers of High Levels of Estrogen: How it Can Impact Your Health

Estrogen is essential for reproductive, cardiovascular, and bone health. However, too much estrogen can cause irregular periods and worsen reproductive health conditions. High level of estrogen can also cause other symptoms, including
Breast tenderness
Headaches
Weight gain
Abnormal uterine bleeding,
Fibrocystic lumps in the breasts
Fibroids (noncancerous tumors) in the uterus
Fatigue
Estrogen can also help protect the heart from disease by maintaining high levels of good cholesterol. However, lower estrogen levels, especially during menopause, can increase the risk of developing heart disease.
Some recommendations for reducing estrogen levels include:
Lose belly fat
Eat lots of diindolylmethane (DIM) vegetables. These vegetables include broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, kohlrabi, mustard, rutabaga, and turnip. Avoiding eating or drinking out of plastic
Eat organic meat
Avoid drinking beer
Avoid prescription drugs that increase high levels of estrogen or decrease testosterone levels.
